In either case, it helps to know some of the ins and outs of Sin City so that you can get the richest comps, cheapest drinks, and best opportunity to beat the casino. If this is the case, check out the following 5 Vegas secrets that’ll give you the trip of a lifetime.

1. Pretend to be a High Roller for Big Comps

We don’t recommend that you lose nearly this much, but you’re more likely to attract the casino host’s attention and get decent comps this way. Free rooms, meals, and show tickets are some of the better comps that hosts offer players of this (perceived) stature.

2. Where to Get the Best House Edge and Lowest Stakes

If you’re not interested in the high-roller tip above, take the opposite approach and head to Vegas’ less-heralded gambling destinations. Fremont Street casinos like Binion’s, Four Queens, and El Cortez offer reasonable house edges on most/all table games along with lower stakes than the resort casinos.

3. Get Drinks at the Wynn for a Dollar

But the Wynn still does a good job of comping players with free drinks when they’re consistently playing slots and table games. Just be sure to tip your cocktail waitress a dollar each time so that the drinks keep flowing.

4. Stretch Your Gambling Dollar at the Sportsbook

This isn’t a secret so much as it is a recommendation to make low-stakes sports bets if you want gambling entertainment for cheap. You can place a $25 bet on a point spread, drink with your friends at Caesars or MGM Grand’s sportsbook (or wherever else), and watch the game. Three hours later, you’ve gambled less than $10 per hour while watching your bet play out.

Want to save yourself a fortune on drinks? Don’t go to the nightclubs and blow your money on bottle service and cover fees. Instead, find the circle bars that are found in the middle of nearly every casino resort. You’ll still meet people and get some good drinks, without having to pay a cover and wait for (potentially) hours in line.
